I am so excited this morning! Melissa and I are preparing for our Heart Healthy Workshop at Prestonwood Country Club today at 3:00. We will start the workshop with 20 minutes of relaxing yoga, a discussion about heart health and living a heart healthy life style and then we will make our Happy Heart Smoothie for everyone. I hope they like it!
Heart disease kills more people than the top three cancers combined and heart disease is almost totally preventable through exercise, diet and lifestyle. I hope that everyone walks aways learning something new and most of all are inspired to live a heart healthy life.
Here is the recipe for our Heart Healthy Smoothie:
2 handfuls spinach
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup mango coconut water
2 T chia seeds (soaked)
2 T oat bran
1 cup ice
Blend and enjoy! Makes 2 servings.
