New Year, New You?

From January 2 until mid March, it’s on every radio station, morning show, talk show, news show, commercial, infomercial, magazine, shall I go on?  I am guessing you already know what I’m talking about: getting healthy!  There are many ways to get there and staying there is based solely on the individual.  There are also many layers of where people are in their quest for a healthier lifestyle.  With over 100 diet books, diet pills, diet programs and quick fix exercises it can become overwhelming. There is no one diet that will work for everyone.  There is no one exercise plan that will work for everyone.

I think everyone can benefit from breaking bad habits, eating nutrient dense foods, exercising, having healthy relationships and enjoying life.  Each with their own unique style.  The best way to start is just by adding in the good stuff and everything else will follow.  Just as you can spiral down  with junk food binges and couch potato syndrome you can turn the center of that spiral  into a positive point that will continually increase in a positive way.

Start with just one thing.  The one thing that will work for you, that you can maintain everyday.  It could be as easy an adding in one glass of water, one piece of fruit, a walk.  Or maybe you are in a different layer of wellness and you cook one more meal at home or buy organic meat.  There are many different layers just as there are many different types of personalities.  Be the individual that you are and be the best you that you can be.
